PCS Bail Bonds, Tarrant County’s Premier Bail Bond Service, Weighs in on Project Safe Neighborhood Helping to Reduce Crime in Fort Worth

PCS Bail Bonds (www.PCSBailBonds.com), Fort Worth, Texas’ most trusted bail bond service, is weighing in on the success of a government-funded initiative called “Project Safe Neighborhood,” which has reduced crime in Fort Worth.

Project Safe Neighborhood is a community-led crime prevention commission that pools the resources of 12 different organizations while partnering with local community groups and federal law enforcement agencies. The project took a $500,000 crime-fighting grant, and to date has seen positive results in the form of reduced crimes in some of Fort Worth’s more dangerous neighborhoods. “The program has actually yielded notable reductions in key areas of crime,” says Paul Schuder, owner of PCS Bail Bonds. “Aggravated assault is down six percent and robbery is down 19%. The most significant drop is in murder, which has decreased an incredible 43%. These numbers are all encouraging and proof that a lot of good is coming out of this initiative.”

With gun and gang crime both down as well, the leaders of Project Safe Neighborhood are hoping to further engage the communities, using the success of the program as incentive for getting involved. This is vital, as Project Safe Neighborhood is a two year program, after which organizers anticipate that the Federal portion of the funding won’t be available.

“Even as bail bond agents, our hope is that crime goes down and people in the Fort Worth community can feel safe residing in their neighborhoods,” Schuder adds. “Judging by the results of this campaign, the initiative seems to be working, so I don’t see any reason not to continue on with this project.”

”We are confident that by creating partners within the Fort Worth communities, the organizers will be able to continue the project past the lifespan of the funding,” Schuder concludes. “We at PCS Bail Bond support any initiative that responsibly reduces crime in Fort Worth and arrests criminals who are committing these offences to keep the neighborhoods safe.”
