PCS Bail Bonds Reacts to Bail Bondsman Retrieving Misplaced $50,000 Bail

PCS Bail Bonds (www.PCSBailBonds.com), Fort Worth’s most trusted bail bond service, reacts to the news of a bail bondsman retrieving the $50,000 in bail money that he had misplaced.

Service technician Juan Ibarra recently found a large sum of money in the trunk of one of the cars he was servicing. He discovered $50,000 inside a bag in the trunk of a Mercedes Benz SL550. (Source: Box, T., “Service tech at Fort Worth dealership finds $50,000 in trunk of trade-in,” The Dallas Morning News website, November 23, 2015; http://bizbeatblog.dallasnews.com/2015/11/service-tech-finds-50000-in-trunk-of-car.html/.)

“It’s definitely not something you see happen every day,” says Paul Schuder, owner of PC Bail Bonds. “But fortunately for everyone involved, the money was found and returned to the bondsman in full without incident.”

Ibarra immediately reported what he had found to his superior. Neither of them counted the money and, instead, contacted the owner straight away. The owner turned out to be a bail bondsman who had not-too-long before traded in the car and accidentally left the money in the trunk.

“It’s a large sum of money to be carrying around and it was perhaps a bit careless of the bail bondsman,” Schuder continues. “Bond is something that is critical to the freedom of someone who is facing charges, and the family member or friend made a great effort putting up that sum of money. As a bail bondsman, it’s important to be extra careful when handling any amount of bail money.”

As a bit of a twist, the bail bondsman returned to the dealership weeks later. He gave Ibarra a card with some money in it. Ibarra wouldn’t say how much was in the card, but said that the card alone would have been enough for him.

PCS Bail Bonds provides bail bond services to residents of Tarrant County including Fort Worth.
