PCS Bail Bonds, Tarrant County’s Premier Bail Bond Service, Weighs in on the Assigning of Interim Police Chief Rhonda Robertson

PCS Bail Bonds (www.PCSBailBonds.com), Fort Worth, Texas’ most trusted bail bond service, is weighing in on Rhonda Robertson being assigned to the position of Interim Police Chief for Fort Worth.

A week after current Police Chief Jeff Halstead announced his retirement, the Fort Worth Police Department has unanimously selected Assistant Police Chief Rhonda Robertson to take over on an interim basis. “Chief Robertson is someone who has been a part of the Fort Worth Police Department for almost 30 years,” says Paul Schuder, owner of PCS Bail Bonds. “She has a thorough understanding of both the Fort Worth communities and the obligations of the Fort Worth Police force.”

Robertson will begin her service on January 10, the day after the end of Chief Halstead’s tenure. However, she says she is not at all interested in keeping the position long-term; in fact, she has delayed her own plans of retirement based on a request from Chief Halstead.

Schuder notes that Chief Robertson has removed her name from the candidate list despite her experience in patrolling and internal affairs and her overseeing of the Support Bureau. There has been no word on a timeline for a full-time replacement, but the search will be nationwide.

“Her stepping in, for however brief a time, will ensure that things still operate as they should within the Fort Worth Police Department,” Schuder concludes. “That’s because Chief Robertson commands the necessary level of respect; she wouldn’t have been considered for even the interim position otherwise.”
